SAP ‘needs partners to break into SME environment’

22nd December

Category: SAP Business One

Breaking into the small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) market has been made easier for SAP because of its partner network, the organisation has claimed.

The German software provider has suggested that companies it works with, such as Codestone, have enabled it to maximise its performance in these high-growth sectors, IT World Canada reports.

Pat Hume, senior vice-president of global SMEs indirect channel, admitted that its partner programmes have been "really quite significant" in boosting customer levels.

According to Mr Hume, of the 72,000 clients it has in the sector, 50,500 have been acquired through organisations associated with SAP.

Executive board member at the firm John Schwarz agreed, adding that many SMEs frequently have a preferred third-party supplier to which they often go to for their IT requirements.

Software provided by the organisation specifically aimed at SMEs include SAP Business One, which South Africa-based Hydra-Quip director Bradley Flynn stated is an "excellent fit" for these types of business.ADNFCR-2732-ID-19525650-ADNFCR
