Small businesses looking to maximise their operating efficiency should consider investing in SAP software platforms, it has been claimed.

Dave Dobbins, president of start-up telecommunications company Dave Wireless, stated that his firm chose the Germany-based provider’s programs because of their ability to help plan for future growth, IT World Canada reports.

"We evaluated the features and functionalities we could get as well as the overall cost of ownership and SAP was simply the best answer," he remarked.

Mr Dobbins went on to say that he was "impressed" with the software’s functions for a small-sized enterprise such as his.

According to IT World Canada, the system implemented at Dave Wireless was 80 to 85 per cent vanilla, with a further 15 per cent specifically tailored towards telecommunications modules.

SAP Business One was recently described as a great choice for small and medium-sized enterprises, with Bradley Flynn of Hydra-Quip saying it was an "excellent fit" at his company.
