Software from enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems provider SAP can be used by companies to better regulate their business processes and improve the IT applications running their day-to-day production planning, it has been suggested.
Technology from the Germany-based outfit has been chosen by aerospace company Proton-Perm Motors, which sought to improve its ERP, manufacturing and human capital management operations.
It is hoped the platform will enable the corporation to better control its status reports in order to help it keep on track with its strategic plans.
Igor Arbuzov, director general of Proton-Perm Motors, said: "Integration of SAP solutions turns out to be not only a strong optimisation project aimed at securing financial stability, but also an efficient tool to enhance our company's reliability."
Jeff Stiles, senior vice-president for small and medium-sized enterprise volume and ecosystem marketing at SAP, recently revealed to TMC that three-quarters of the software provider's customers are smaller businesses.
