Software from IT solutions provider SAP can be used by companies to help improve their accounting visibility, it has been suggested.

The technology has been selected by Addison Lee, the largest minicab service in London, to help boost the efficiency off the firm's finance and sales management teams, Computerworld UK reports.

It means personnel will be provided with real-time visibility of the organisation's 3,000 vehicles, as well as enabling them to work out the performance levels being achieved for its 10,000 corporate customers, the website explained.

Peter Ingram, IT director at Addison Lee, noted the firm required an enterprise-class solution as the "business is growing rapidly".

The portal added the aim of the implementation is to improve core business processes and provide access to self-service tools.

A recent article in India News suggested enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems from SAP can help a corporation bolster its financial planning in regards to accounting transactions and material management.
