SAP’s focus ‘turns to growth’

16th September

Category: ERP systems

Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems provider SAP is turning its attentions to future growth, it has been claimed.

Felix Feddersen, senior vice-president for SAP's large enterprise division for Latin America, told BNamericas that the Germany-based outfit - which produces ERP systems such as SAP Business One - is no longer focused on cutting costs.

The industry figure pointed out previous strategies had been concerned with smaller deployments, but there is growing evidence larger roll-outs are now taking place.

"While last year's projects were focused on [implementations] and payback of a year or less, now clients are talking about projects with durations of three years," he explained.

Mr Feddersen added average sales transactions for the firm in Latin America have improved by 300 per cent on last year's figures.

SteelGuru.com recently noted software from SAP can be used by manufacturing organisations to help them correctly maintain and organise information through various stages of their operations.
