The small and medium-sized (SME) market is going to drive growth for enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems provider SAP in 2011, it has been suggested.
Research house Pierre Audoin Consultants (PAC) predicted the Germany-based company - which provides SME-specific ERP systems such as SAP Business One among its products - will show growth again in the UK through 2011, reports Channel Web.
PAC forecast the UK SAP consulting and systems integration market will increase by 3.4 per cent in 2011.
And it claimed most of this success is expected to come from the upper end of the SME market.
It stated: "Some projects that have been put on hold in the last 12 to 18 months will be kick-started in the second half of this year."
Writing recently for the Financial Times, Daniel Schafer observed the growth of SAP is a symbol of wider economic recovery being seen elsewhere following the recession.
