The ‘right environment’ is needed for home working

It is important to obtain the "right environment" when home working in order to reap the best benefits.

This is the view of Joshua Zuchter, a business and life coach in Toronto, who told investmentexecutive.com that people who work in a place which is "conducive" to them are "going to be more productive" because they're uplifted.

He also added that people who work from home, perhaps using remote access software, will be happier if they are comfortable with their environment.

Home workers need to remember their house may contain a number of distractions, such as housework or the TV, which could lead to inefficient productivity if the right mentality is not adopted.

Matt Duffy, partnerships manager at consultants Lorica, recently said more companies are offering their employees the option of home working, as well as more workers requesting it for themselves.

He said that there is far more focus on the benefits of offering employees remote working options.
