The Conservative Party have vowed to extend flexible working rights to everyone in the public sector - which can be made possible through software such as Citrix XenApp.
David Cameron, the Conservative leader, also promised to work in consultation with businesses in the private sector to promote the option there as well.
The plans have been announced as part of the Conservative manifesto and will be put into practice should the Tories be successful at the upcoming general election.
Mr Cameron said he hopes the measures will make Britain more "family-friendly" by helping households spend more time together.
To attain this, the Conservatives will extend the right to make flexible working requests to every parent with a child under 18 and oblige JobCentre Plus offices to advertise jobs on a flexible basis.
Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg recently announced that his party also supports the expansion of workforce mobility and remote access employment.
