SAP has recognised some of the most successful users of its enterprise resource planning (ERP) software and other technologies in a brand new awards ceremony.

The company revealed the winners of its Run Prouder prizes at a special gathering in London on Tuesday (May 22nd). It is the first time the awards have been held in the UK and Ireland.

They have been introduced in order to highlight which firms are making the most of SAP's solutions and provide an example to others of how its products can work.

Among the triumphant SAP users was Lotte Chemical UK, which won the Run Prouder title in the ERP software category.

Elsewhere, SAP named Thames Water as its most successful human resources solutions customer, while Boots took the honour in the customer relationship management section.

Success when using SAP equipment in the last year might be particularly special as the company has previously confirmed that 2011's financial results were the best in its 40 years of trading.
