Companies that purchase virtualisation platforms are better placed to make changes to their environment rapidly, one specialist has argued.
Writing for the Register, Martin Atherton of Freeform Dynamics noted that this kind of software is becoming increasingly popular with a number of organisations that wish to boost their performance in this area.
He remarked: "Virtualisation provides the wherewithal to respond very quickly to the changes your business wants or needs."
According to Mr Atherton, this characteristic now means firms may need to improve their IT management structure to ensure they are able to monitor and oversee these amendments efficiently.
Some installations may be troublesome at first, he explained, as it may take a while to get people up-to-speed on the new technology, but this could lead to a more cohesive workforce as an end result.
Also writing for the Register recently, Freeform Dynamic’s Jon Collins suggested that desktop virtualisation may enable enterprises to uplift their current administration functions.
