Companies that have invested in virtual software from VMware have been very pleased with their purchases, it has been suggested.

According to Computer Technology Review, the firm has more customer-proven cases than other competitors.

The enterprise delivers virtualisation solutions that meet the requirements of buyers and offer improved support and integration, the news provider explained.

Such platforms enable live migration of virtual machine files from one storage array to another with no visible interruptions, while administrators can carry out automated load balancing without any downtime.

The portal reported: "VMware also has host resource management, performance enhancements, flexible resource allocation and security protection."

It added the option can reclaim unused memory and de-duplicate memory pages, marking a "great improvement" for virtualisation environments.

VMware’s Parag Patel recently observed its collaboration with SAP, which began in December 2007, is helping to save its customers money through virtualisation as it allows a fully-supported solution to be delivered.
