VMware's View 4 virtualisation solution has been praised by a number of the company's partners, with one industry specialist describing it as "compelling".

Chief executive officer of Tedici Corporation Dan Cordingley noted that his organisation is "extremely excited" regarding the release of the product and the wide variety of PC-over-IP support it offers.

He remarked: "VMware View 4 is the only desktop virtualisation solution tailored to deliver a compelling remote computing experience to meet the needs of all enterprise user types."

According to VMware, the platform sets new standards in the desktop virtualisation market, offering new scales of quality and cost, while overcoming a number of integration problems restricting take-up by consumers.

It provides users with basic to expert skills a range of options to maximise their virtual experience, the firm added.

In recent news, VMware's vSphere was recognised for its innovativeness by the Wall Street Journal, with judges commending it for its reliability and security.
