Guestline offers cloud technology for hoteliers, providing end-to-end property management, channel distribution and digital marketing solutions to a range of hotel groups, independent hotels, serviced apartments, management companies and pub companies.

Understanding the Problem

The Challenge

Guestline needed a finance system that would reflect its recent changes in the business and significant growth, during which time it had acquired many more customers and increased its product lines.

Its previous system had been built to old requirements some 15 years ago. But with a more complex customer base involving multiple sites and inter-relationships between hotel head offices and flight and payment outfits, Guestline needed to find new ways of reporting and much more transparency across the financial operations of the business.

Making it Work

Guestline turned to Codestone to deliver SAP Business One, choosing the business management solution over Netsuite and Navision for its enhanced capability to manage financial information across multiple customer sites and inter-relationships.

From top level financial data to being able to drill down to individual customer detail, the finance team can distinguish everything by product and site codes, so areas of the business that are not performing well can quickly be identified and monitored. SAP Business One also makes the preparation of budgets and forecasting much easier because detailed operational data is readily available.

SAP Business One also integrates with the firm’s existing Microsoft Dynamics CRM so invoicing can be processed directly. This gives Guestline visibility of payment
relationships as well as contractual relationships.
