SAP continues to improve the SAP Business ByDesign solution and has published a video detailing the enhancements made during 2022 and the roadmap for 2023. Here Rainer Zinow – SVP Product Management Small and Mid-Sized Enterprises – talks about the key innovations delivered around SAPs strategic commitment to keep the solution stable, secure, compliant and attractive.
Rainer summarises the key business processes delivered in 2022, including new processes and improvements to Microsoft Teams integration and localisations. There is a demo of the Product Footprint Management for Cleaner Operations application, the first major delivery built on BTP and a bespoke application, built on BTP and integrated with ByDesign Project Management.
A look at key Innovation for 2023
SAPs strategy is now centred on delivery of innovations via BTP, which will ensure all new applications are built once and deployed across all the SAP Portfolio, including SAP Business ByDesign, SAP Business One and S/4HANA solutions.
Rainer demonstrates the first major application delivered using this technology, the Product Footprint Management application. You will see how data and transactions can be replicated directly from SAP Business ByDesign, providing insights on the environmental impacts of products across their entire lifecycle for disclosure and internal product & process optimisation.
You will also see an example application developed on BTP, showing how the look and feel, security and behaviours are inherited from the SAP suite. The demo includes a drill-down from the application to Business ByDesign Project Management, allowing allocation of effort, materials and other costs within the core application.
