Implementation

Is it for me?

Implementation is the primary delivery backbone of a project – where a system is deployed, set up, made ready for testing and training, and finally, commissioned.

What’s involved?

Implementation stages vary from project to project, but typically they include:

  • Installation – whether on your premises or in a hosted environment
  • Configuration – the setting up of the system to your specific requirements
  • UAT Set Up – getting you ready to do your Acceptance Testing (dry-running your processes to check everything has been covered and resolving any faults)
  • Conference Room Pilot – proving that you can run your processes on the system
  • Go Live – commissioning the system into live use

The above is a useful example of a typical project, but is by no means an exhaustive list of project stages. Other disciplines are addressed separately – for example, Development, Data Migration and Training.

How will it help my business?

Implementation is the core sequence of a project once the analysis stages are concluded. It’s therefore fundamental to the progress of a project and its successful conclusion.
